Introducing GPT-5.4

OpenAI released GPT-5.4, their most capable and efficient frontier model for professional work, available in ChatGPT, the API, and Codex. The model combines advances in reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows, achieving state-of-the-art results across benchmarks including 83% on GDPval (knowledge work), 75% on OSWorld (computer use), and 57.7% on SWE-Bench Pro (coding). GPT-5.4 is the first general-purpose model with native computer-use capabilities, supports up to 1M tokens of context, and introduces tool search for efficiently working with large tool ecosystems. The model also improves steerability in ChatGPT by allowing users to adjust course mid-response, and is priced at $2.50/M input tokens and $15/M output tokens in the API.
